Repair: A Millennial’s Dream

by Troy Mason

While repair is a valuable service and one that can be easy to market, there is a new customer base out there to which it will especially appeal: millennials.

There are so many benefits to repair, and there are so many reasons that windshield repair is appealing to millennials.

First, they care for the environment, and what better way to do so than to keep their windshields out of landfills? Windshield repair is naturally green; it saves tons of glass—laminated glass, specifically, which is tougher to recycle. Why replace something that can be fixed and preserved?

Don’t forget safety; this generation ranks safety as a top requirement. Windshield repair preserves the factory seal on a windshield, and therefore is one of the safest options out there. Next, millennials often are very frugal and wise with their money. Windshield repair is no doubt much cheaper than a replacement—and often is covered in full by insurance. That’s an obvious appeal to millennials and others.

How?

So how do you market to this specific group? You’ll likely find them on social media—Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. They’ll likely google “windshield repair” when they are in need of this service, so be sure you have a user-friendly website that can be found easily by this method.
