Shiloh Spoo of GlasWeld
This issue we are shining our spotlight on one of our newest associate members, GlasWeld, located in Bend, Oregon. I have had the pleasure of knowing Shiloh Spoo, the President of GlasWeld, for several years and he is never without a smile when I see him.
Shiloh has been the president of GlasWeld for five years and has been with GlasWeld for more than 18 years. He enjoys surfing, snowboarding and basketball and became interested in windshield repair at a very young age. His grandfather, father and uncle were all windshield repair techs in the late 1970’s, and then later started GlasWeld. His dad would take Shiloh to his engineering meetings when he was a child, so his passion for doing repairs and designing equipment started very early on in his life.
“High quality windshield repair has now become mainstream. More and more larger companies are realizing that there is good money to be made in repair and that doing really good work is possible, even on a large scale,” Shiloh stated. “One of the most common misconceptions is that only something tiny can be repaired. This is just not true.”
Motivation is one of the most important keys to any successful business. When asked what motives him, Shiloh answered, “In a word, people. I’m a people person to my core. I try to approach every day at GlasWeld from the perspective of the people we serve. I want our decisions, our designs and our programs to benefit the efforts of the thousands of customers that rely on our products every day to provide for their families.”
GlasWeld has an innovative spirit. The company loves to design and develop new tools, supplies and programs for windshield repair and its complementary fields. It invests a large percentage of their earning back into product development and improvements. Constant innovation runs deep in their culture and permeates their daily conversations and planning.
NWRD is happy to have GlasWeld as an associate member and I look forward to seeing Shiloh with one of his wonderful smiles in person.
