The National Windshield Repair Association’s (NWRA) technician training course scheduled for this fall during Auto Glass Week™ in Reno, Nev., is just a few short months away. The training course will be held on Friday, October 2, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the exam will be given from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Technicians from NWRA member companies will be able to take the course and exam for free. Non-members may attend the training and take the exam for a one-day special fee of only $39. Additionally, if non-member companies wish to join the NWRA, the $39 fee per technician will be credited toward the total first year’s membership dues.
“We are looking forward to giving technicians this opportunity to become certified at Auto Glass Week,” says NWRA president Jeff Reddell. “We hope a number of technicians take the course and pass the exam, further growing the number of technicians certified by the NWRA.”
Certification shows that those certified understand the steps necessary for a company and its individuals to be in compliance with ANSI/NWRA/ROLAGS 001-2014, the Repair of Laminated Auto Glass Standard (ROLAGS™). In order to be certified, technicians must have a minimum of six months’ experience performing repairs and successfully pass the certification exam. Certification is valid for two years.
Auto Glass Week will be held September 30-October 2 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center and Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.
