NWRA to Hold Tech Training and Certification Course at Auto Glass Week™

patchThe National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA) will hold a technician training course and offer the certification exam during this year’s Auto Glass Week™ in Reno, Nev. The training course will be held on Friday, October 2, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the exam will be given from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Technicians from NWRA member companies will be able to take the course and exam for free. Non-members may attend the training and take the exam for a one-day special fee of only $39. Additionally, if non-member companies wish to join the NWRA, the $39 fee per technician will be credited toward the total first year’s membership dues.

“We are excited to be able to make certification available to technicians in attendance at Auto Glass Week,” says NWRA president Rich Campfield. “We hope our members and their technicians will take advantage of this opportunity, and we also look forward to growing the number of certified techs across the United States.”

Certification shows that those certified understand the steps necessary for a company and its individuals to be in compliance with ANSI/NWRA/ROLAGS 001-2014, the Repair of Laminated Auto Glass Standard (ROLAGS™). In order to be certified, technicians must have a minimum of six months’ experience performing repairs and successfully pass the certification exam. Certification is valid for two years.

Auto Glass Week will be held September 30-October 2 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center and Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.
