The National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA) board of directors has two new members, Lenny Hennessy, national trainer/quality control for Auto Glass Inspection Services (AGIS) in Chandler, Ariz., and Chris Smith, glass program manager for Delta Sonic in Buffalo, N.Y.

Lenny Hennessy
Hennessy has been in the auto glass industry since 1988 as a technician, manager and trainer. He has been with AGIS for three years and has been involved with the NWRA for the last two years.
Smith has been in the industry for seven years. He started as an entry-level technician and worked his way up to location manager. He joined Delta Sonic last year to help pioneer the company’s auto glass program. Smith previously was with Techna Glass in Salt Lake City, Utah. He won the 2014 GlasWeld Windshield Repair Competition in Honor of Walt Gorman and was named a finalist in the competition for the three preceding years. He has been involved with the NWRA for the last seven years.

Chris Smith
Both Hennessy and Smith are optimistic about the future of the NWRA.
“I would like to help advance the NWRA in the industry with a nationally recognized repair standard for all to adhere to,” says Hennessy.
“I hope to embrace and learn as much as I can about the NWRA, and then to pass on that knowledge to my colleagues,” says Smith. “One of my goals for the NWRA is to bring best-practice awareness to all corners of the auto glass industry, both in day-to-day operations as well as in business. I believe that these best practices should also include topics such as insurance fraud prevention since this has been an issue in some parts of the country.”
