The NWRA’s board of directors, along with the ROLAGS Committee, met at Auto Glass Week™.
The board of directors of the National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA) met recently during Auto Glass Week™ in Baltimore. One of the key topics up for discussion was the development of a new Windshield Repair Break Identification Standard.
The standard will be known as “ANSI BSR/NWRA BIS 001-201x.” The goal of the new standard will be to classify breakage in windshields and automotive glass. This will be NWRA’s second standard developed under the guidance of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The first, the Repair of Laminated Auto Glass Standard (ROLAGS™), was approved by ANSI in June 2007. ROLAGS chair Keith Beveridge of Novus was elected the chairperson of the committee overseeing the new standard.
“We welcome participation from the industry in the development of this standard for classification of types of breakage in automotive glass,” noted Beveridge.
Campfield also invites members to send in photos showing examples of the various breaks they run into in their day-to-day business. Members can send photos to info@nwrassn.org.
