Building and supporting the next generation of technicians are vital to the auto glass repair and replacement industry. Auto Glass Week 2022, Sept. 14-16 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, will address this with Career Day, a new program that invites local high school and vocational school students to attend the show for a day of learning and introduction to the industry.
Career Day will be action-packed for the more than 150 guests that will include industry overviews, demonstrations, panel discussions. Students will gain exposure to passionate industry representatives from different disciplines and have an opportunity to meet with local shop owners that have immediate employment opportunities in both window film and auto glass repair and replacement. GlasWeld is the official Career Day sponsor.
“We want our guests to come away with a new awareness of the many possibilities available in auto glass and window film careers. What better opportunity than at the best event of the year,” says Deb Levy, AGW managing director. “This is an exciting time for our industry, and interest in this new program has been outstanding.”
Career Day will take place on the show’s last day, Friday, Sept. 16, from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.
